Writing reflection

This year I did my learning with Mrs Parker in a netbook classroom using Google Drive.

Having a netbook made it easier to learn and when you have mistakes like word mistakes you can correct it easily.

This year I learned how to do persuasive writing, by writing an argument and presenting it as a class debate. It was like we were in a courtroom.

I did research on Netherlands, ANZAC soldiers, science, maths, different war communications and more.

The thing I enjoyed learning about the most was…Maths and Coding Games. because maths helped me to add and minus. And coding was fun to play.

I still want to learn more about what really happened in the war. because we only learnt a little bit of the War.

The class trip  I enjoyed most this year was going to the Auckland Live trip, it was fun and exciting because we were going to take some packs home.

I am proud of the way I  have been participating in trips and sport.

Next year I am going to do be better then i have been this year and try to achieve more.

                 

Virtual Trips

              Virtual World Trip

In the Virtual world trip we went around the world and up above the world. We went to africa , the great wall of china , the moon, Mars, Milky way, Volcano and hiroshima memorial.

If you don’t know what is it you can search it up. If you think we exactly went on for real life “  WELL ”  you're wrong .  We used these goggles with a smartphone inside, Not real goggles CARDBOARD goggles. People from google created a app called google HQ. HQ stands for headquarters. We are the 28 school from around NZ that got this opportunity  and experience to look on one of these digital devices. This was so fun most of us were complaining, and some were excited when we went down to room 3 to test those devices. When we were finished and that the complainers got payback from Mrs parker.

It wasn’t bad payback it was like good payback Mrs parker just said was fun to the complainers. Oh i forgot to tell you that the person from google.  

Whittakers Chocolate Story.

Today the 3 of December 2015 we had a Whittaker's chocolate hokey pokey bar. This writing is about chocolate and today Mrs Parker used this chocolate for her chocolate tart. First we looked at it and then we opened it. We started to eat it and then we started to smell and feel it. It smelt like chocolate . After a while we started eating it. It was so yummy man it made my mouth so sweet.  Then we went and  wrote a story about it. It felt like a sensation feeling and i wanted some more of the chocolate.  If i could create a kind of chocolate i would make a dark chocolate and white chocolate Flavored, but big and better.

Tamaki College Sports

On Tuesday Tamaki College came to Glenbrae School to teach us sports.

We got separated in groups. Next we went onto the field divided our student and coachers.

First we got set up and then we started to start the game. The game was called moon ball it was sort of like rugby but you had to bold over people with the huge ball it was so fun but some of us got hurt.

At the end of the game we got lollipops and then we played army game it was sort of like bull rush but they got to say army and then you're in with them. Oh i forgot to say there names the boys from Tamaki College boys name was Sio and Ben they were cool.

After when we finished the game we got told to come back down to the court. We went down to the court we went to class and we started to get our lunch.

It felt cool to play those games we got 2 lollipops after then.

What causes season's

Seasons happen throughout the year and include. Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer.

In Autumn it is sort of like Spring but the difference is that Autumn is colder and that leaves fall off trees.

In Spring warmer than Autumn leaves fall off trees and it is warm.

In winter it is cold and it is freezing. You would need a Blankic and a sweet cup of warm hot chocolate.

And last we have summer “ My favourite Season ” It is warm and that it is the warmest Season it is bright is is warm.

The Reason we have season is because the earth has a tilt on its axes. That is how season is created.

  

  

STAR-DOME TRIP

        STAR-DOME TRIP.

On Thursday the 12 of November 2015.

When the first bell rang for school time we all quickly ran straight to class and Mrs Parker called our name and gave our name tags to us.

Mrs Parker said we have to take them off because we had dance fever.

We arrived to the hall and we saw heaps of class there only room 10,9,7 and 8 there wasn’t any junior class there because they were going on Friday. We finished dance fever and we went in classes and go in rows. Room 7 was the last class to leave.   

We all went up to the bus and we said good morning to the bus driver.

The bus driver was so happy and he was excited to take us.

We were excited to go to star dome and see all the planets and rockets that used to fly up to space.

We just arrived to star dome and we saw a park and a long flying fox.

We had to stuff a bag full of food, only 3 people each bag.

In my bag it was Me, Maselino and Sean’s lunches in my bag.

I crabed my lunch out first the i crabed out Mase, then i crabbed out out Sean’s lunch out.

We were all finished and only Room 7 and 8 only went in first.

This lady came out i don’t remember her name.

We first went inside we went and she told us to put our bags in this cage and we went in the classroom we only stayed there for 20 minutes and went out of the classroom and saw these planets and rockets we only stayed out there for 10 minutes and went to the space room.

The lady (our teacher from star dome) put us on these chairs it was comfortable and it was nice to lye down on those chairs. We watched a movie about why do we have seasons. When we the movie was finished the seniors where going in it was fun and we go to have a long play outside. When the seniors came out we went on the bus to go back to school.

It was fun and i learnt a lot of things there.

I got 100 % on ixl maths it is my challenge to try and get 100 again.

October reflection

n the 2015 i am most grateful of sports, milk and academic learning.

The reason that i am grateful of the sports is that i took place of cross-country and that i also took part in rugby league. The other reason that i am grateful of is academic learning because i can get better and better at my learning and now we have netbooks so it don’t get hard anymore. The last reason that i am grateful of is milk because it really helps my brain and that is make my brain smart and strong.

In 2016 i am going to try and achieve most of my writing, my reading and my maths. If there is anything

fun or another rugby league game i will be in it and take part in cross-country again and also i will be in the new basketball team .

My best friend.

My best Friends

My friends name is called Lucas and he is 10 years old .

He is about 5 foot tail and he is white and he has brown hair he likes playing around with people.

He has a sister name Autumn and they both look like the same.

When we last were together we went on a trip to the south island and that he was very hungry.

Before we went he was starving and he wanted a big mac from Mcdonalds. We went to play on the park

and then we went to the internet cafe before we left.

After we went to the bus. It cost us $40 and 50c it took us 3 hours to go to the airport then we went to the Mcdonalds. We went to plane 58 to the north island it was sort of like a private plane. It was fun because we went to the end lane because it had all the tv’s and the laptops. The plane had internet inside we went on

agario kim.

We all went to sleep because it was half past 8.  But before we went to bed we had curry rice for dinner and strawberry pie for dessert.We finally arrived to the north island we went to the cafe to get something to eat for breakfast it was very cold and lucas used my jacket to keep him warm i used my blanket to keep me warm and a sheet.

Writing, Holidays

In the holidays one of my favorite things I did was

go to my friends house.

My friend had a play station 2 and 2 controllers.

My cousin Riza and I went to stay there for 2 weeks. We went to the top of his mountain that he always climbs up. It was a really big mountain. The mountain was called the Three Kings mountain. It was so big that I got tied only a quarter of the way, that's how big it was.

While we were up the mountain we saw a park. The park had a long slide and a long firefox. It was a massive park. The slide was as tall as the adventure playground and the firefox was as long as the court. The park was as big as our School field,.The park even had a big slide to connect with a huge pool.

After we went home,we were so tied our legs and arms were so sore they were aching hard out!. I was tired and I was sore because my eyes were going to shut so i quickly made my bed and went to sleep. My friends mum said   “Look Tamati is asleep early and we haven’t even made dinner yet!” Then my friend woke me up for dinner and then I went over to the kitchen to get my dinner and  my friend said “ I don't like this ” and i said “ vegie’s are good for you ”.

Finally we went to the library at night with my friends dad. We asked him if we could take the phone, i pad and  laptop with us. He said we can take all three of them it was fun.

Holland Presentation

Cross-Country.

Today for fitness we went to the field to practise cross-country. It was windy and we had to go outside. Mrs Parker said "Well kids we have to go and practise cross-country."  I liked running while it was windy because it cooled me down when I felt hot. Some of the students had stitches and we still had to keep running. The field was too long and only some of the students got to make it around the field. I was one of them. We were running with room 10. It was fun and it kept us fit. We were tired when we came back from cross-country.

    

You can eat insects

I agree that we should eat insects because they

need less water to grow, they are healthy, and you can catch them easier.

People should eat insect because it takes less water to produce than cows and beefs.

2 billion people eat bugs and that it has full fibre, iron, protein and zinc.

It is eatable and it is not disgusting. It is healthy and it is easy to catch and harvest.

Bugs are easy to catch and you can find them in different place’s.

This is our reading task this week.

Brush our teeth

It is important to brush our teeth everyday because you will get tooth decade. To brush your teeth properly you need to brush little circles around your tongues. And also you need to brush your inside and your top inside.

 In this photo you can see me, Danny, Fasi and the other boys from room 7 brushing there teeth.

It was fun because we got to learn all other teeth's as well.

 

Maths reflection.

I reflected that today room 7 was learning about transformation.
In transformation there are 3 steps .

1. There is rotation
2. There is translation
3. And at last there is symmetry

I made a shape by using different View points.

I learnt today how to build my own shape in this shape there was 2 down in the left, 3 down in the middle,
2 down in the right and in the bottom there are 1 down in the left, 2 down in the middle and 1 down in the right.

Writing

Glenbrae is the best in the world!. We are respectful, we are digital learners and we have the best students.

We are respectful because we respect others by playing and helping them, we respect learning by going on tasks and staying off bad sites and we respect property by putting them back where they supposed to be, And last we look after environment by putting rubbish in the bin.  

The next reason why we are digital learners is because we are cyber smart, we comment good things on each others blogs and we don’t go on bad sites.

And the last reason why we have the bests student in glenbrae is we have most respectful students, and they come good looking to school. Our students help each other and  students compete with other schools.

Glenbrae is the most intelligent school . In the world we have most goodest playgrounds in the world. And we are the most goodest students, teacher, board members and teacher ads. And we have the most greatest principal in the world.

Glenbrae is a safe, happy, learning community.

Today i made a cuboid

Mrs Raj taught us how to measure and make a net to create a 3 dimensional shape.

My cuboid has 6 faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices .

Boxes are made to hold or store things. boxes are used for packaging.

I enjoyed making 3D shapes and creating my own 3D shape.

Narrative Writing

Narrative writing .

In the middle of the night me and my friend was going to the movies to watch fast and the furious 7. It was exciting i wanted to go to the time zone as well because i got to excited.

When we went inside to theater me and my friend went and got some cotton candy it was like candy floss but on a stick.We got some popcorn and a drink each. Then we went to my friends house and played on his playstation 2.We played double player we even played cars 2.

Second his dad came in and tried to steal off me.So i ran off and battled him at the play ground and he still tried to get me.Then i lead him to my secert trap and he fell in to it i was

laughing at him he said to me he will get his revenge on me. And then i ran back to my friends house but he wasn’t home.He went to look for his dad. Then me and my friend went to the city it was so quiet there. Then his dad came and tried to get me and steal my money again then i ran so fast that he couldn’t catch me and then i went to the shops to trap him there.

Third i went to the market and then he went to the end of the shop waiting and waiting.

Then i he found me at the market so i trapped him there.Then the police came and i told them everything and then they arrested him.

And that is the end.

Goku is tail and super powerful. And every time he turns to different persons his eyes are native blue.His her is blonde when he fights and black when he not. And he is good but only when he fights he is not. And he is 18 years old and he is a bit angry when he fights.

Henry was happy after a long day of exploring and meeting bears. “This is a good book about jungles” he said. “I think  we should explore the next jungle” said Henry. “ NO! ” said his mother.  Henry was laughing because he was joking. Angus thumped his tail in  agreement.“ Should we go for another flag?” asked Henry.
