Jim's letters

                                                      Jim's letter
Today Mrs Raj read us a story about ANZAC it was called Jim's letters. And the book was authored by Glyn Harper and the illustration was by Jenny Cooper. The story was very sad because Jim had died at war. Jimmy's little brother, Thomas sent a letter but  it came back and the letter said ADDRESSEE MISSING IN ACTION 8 AUGUST 1915 BELIEVED KILLED.

Malama houna

Welcoming the malama honua waka

On Wednesday, Glenbrae School went to Pt England beach to go and see the waka . When we arrived we saw a lot of people there and there was St patrick , Glen innes primary,Panmure bridge ,Tamaki primary,Tamaki college, Pt england,Stonefields,Te kura kaupapa ,St pius x and Ruapotaka and there were 2000 children . All the schools saw the first boat arrived and there was a hawaiian word on it.

A boat came it went to the another waka at the end next to the hill and we sang oho rahi 2 times. Then some of the Pt England  students told us about Manaiakalani and they said Manaiakalani means ‘hook from heaven’ after a while the singing started to stop all the schools standing up

walked down to high fived them.

Then when we finished some of the students stayed behind and the others went back to school.

Who would like to go out of space

Who able to write stories and read chapter book’s.

Who dreams to be in the army.
